Editorial Policy
Last updated: September 17, 2025
MorningScroll publishes short, human, morning-friendly reads to help you start the day organized. This Editorial Policy explains how we choose topics, create and review content, handle corrections, and separate advertising from editorial decisions.
Scope & What We Cover
- We focus on: practical workflows, templates, tool comparisons, desk setup, commute utilities, and light workplace habits you can apply before 10am.
- We avoid: medical, legal, and financial advice (YMYL). If a piece touches health-adjacent routines (e.g., focus, organization), it remains strictly non-medical and includes a clear disclaimer.
Editorial Standards
- Clarity first: we write the way people speak in the morning—concise, concrete, free of jargon.
- Usefulness over length: every article must enable a real action, decision, or improvement.
- Evidence-aware: we link to reputable sources (docs, vendor pages, standards) when claims or configurations are referenced. We avoid unsupported assertions.
- Originality: we do not publish scraped or spun content. Paraphrasing without value or attribution is not allowed.
Creation & Review Process
- Pitches & selection: topics are chosen for morning usefulness and user intent (how-to, compare, quick fix).
- Research: hands-on testing where feasible; otherwise primary documentation and credible references. Quotes and screenshots are attributed.
- Drafting: human-written in a clear, morning tone. Templates, steps, and decision tables are prioritized.
- Edit & fact-check: an editor reviews for accuracy, clarity, and policy compliance before publishing.
- Expert review (as needed): when a topic borders on technical policy or security configuration, a knowledgeable reviewer validates the steps at a high level. Health or financial advice is not published.
Use of AI & Tools
We may use software tools—including AI—for brainstorming, outlining, grammar, and formatting. No article is published without human authorship, editing, and accountability. We do not publish auto-generated content presented as expert advice.
Bylines, Updates & Transparency
- Bylines: each article lists an author. When expert input is used, reviewers are credited.
- Timestamps: we show “Published” and “Last updated” dates on articles that change meaningfully.
- Change notes: significant updates include a brief note at the top or bottom describing what changed.
Corrections & Feedback
If you find an error or unclear step, email info@morningscroll.com with the article URL and details. We aim to review within 3–5 business days. Confirmed inaccuracies are corrected promptly and, when material, noted in the update log.
Sourcing & Citations
- Prefer primary sources: vendor docs, official announcements, standards bodies.
- When aggregating information, we link to original sources and avoid reproducing large excerpts.
- Screenshots are used under fair use or permission and are sanitized to remove sensitive data.
Images & Media
- We use licensed stock images, in-house graphics, or product screenshots with attribution where required.
- Alt text is provided for accessibility. We avoid misleading imagery and “ad-like” placements inside editorial content.
Advertising, Sponsorship & Affiliates
- Separation of church and state: advertising does not influence what we cover or how we write it.
- Sponsored pieces are clearly labeled (“Sponsored”). Affiliate links are disclosed within the article where they appear.
- Ad placements are balanced and clearly separated from editorial content. We do not encourage ad clicks.
- For cookies and tracking, please see our Privacy Policy.
Conflicts of Interest
Contributors must disclose any financial or personal relationships with companies or tools covered. When a potential conflict exists, we either assign a different writer/editor or include a disclosure in the article.
User Contributions & Comments
Where comments or submissions are enabled, we moderate for civility, relevance, and safety. We remove spam, harassment, and unsubstantiated claims. User submissions may be edited for clarity and brevity.
Legal & Disclaimers
MorningScroll content is for general information and productivity/lifestyle inspiration. It does not constitute medical, legal, financial, or professional advice. See our Disclaimer and Terms for details.
